About Fernbug

The most important stories a child will ever hear.

We make the stories of the Bible beautiful, easy to share and hard to forget, for toddlers on a lap, children reading on their own, and teens asking big questions.

Our name

Why “Fernbug”?

A fernbug is small, curious and easy to miss: the kind of creature a child spots low in the leaves and can’t stop watching. That’s the pace we want story time to keep.

When we share God’s Word with children we’re planting seeds: seeds that grow into deep roots, strong branches and good fruit for the rest of their lives. So our age groups are named for a growing plant, and the books grow with your child.

Made carefully, page by page

  • Faithful to Scripture

    Every story follows the Bible passage it comes from. Nothing is added that isn’t in the text.

  • Written for each age

    The same story is written separately for each age group, so a 3-year-old and an 11-year-old both meet it at their level.

  • Read aloud

    Every page is narrated, with the words lighting up as they’re read, so pre-readers can follow along.

  • A song for every story

    Each story has its own worship song to sing together, and a memory verse to carry.

  • Made to be colored

    Coloring pages for every story, on screen with a fingertip or printed for the table.

  • Honest about what it is

    Teen studies are for Bible reflection and encouragement, not medical advice, and they point teens to trusted adults and real help.
