In Daniel and the Lions' Den, your child meets an old man who had served kings all his life and had never once stopped praying. When jealous officials trick the king into signing a law that no one may pray to anyone but him, Daniel goes home, opens his windows toward Jerusalem, and kneels down three times a day exactly as he always had. He is thrown to the lions, the king cannot sleep all night, and in the morning Daniel calls up out of the den that God sent an angel and shut the lions' mouths.
